●五道口にスターバックス誕生
ついに五道口に来ましたね。スタバ。
清華大学東門の东升大厦西向の通称搜狐大厦（?）一階で工事しているのを見かけました。
毎日この前を往復しているので、朝から濃いコーヒーなんていいですね。
思えば三年前、初めて北京を訪れたとき、どのスタバも終日とても混んでいたいた気がします。しかし、最近のスタバはどうでしょう？以前と比べてそんなに客が入っていないように感じるのは私だけでしょうか？
思い当たる点がいくつかあります。
１．カフェが増えた
ここ数年であっという間にカフェが増えた気がします。10元ちょっとで普通に挽きたてのコーヒーが飲める店がそこら中に増えました。ちょっとコーヒー飲みたいと思えば、すぐにカフェを見つけることができます。近所のカフェに行くと、中国人が複数で雑談や商談しているのをよく見かけるようになっています。
２．スタバというステータス
3年前の当時、今でも贅沢品ですが一杯12元～30元くらいもします。普通の食事一回もしくは二回分でしょう。スタバでコーヒーを飲むのがかっこよかったのでは？スタバでコーヒーを飲むことがステータスだったのででしょう。しかし、北京のある程度の階層の人たちの所得が伸び（以前見かけた統計によると2001年から3倍くらい）、スタバでコーヒー一杯がステータスではなくなったのではないでしょうか？
今は、カフェやレストランでノートパソコンをひろげているのがステータス？
３．スタバが増えた
3年前当時、スタバに行くなら、西単の××や国貿の××とか、わざわざ遠出をして行っていたのではないかと想像します。そのためスタバで飲むことがハレの行為でよりステータスであることを高めていたのではないでしょうか？
いずれにしても、なぜ今さら五道口にスタバなのでしょう。3年前なら留学生が大勢いる五道口ではものすごくはやっていた気がします。
確かに客は少なからず入るでしょうが、スタバは無線LANがありません。最近の五道口に生息する留学生たちに見かけるのは、ノートパソコンをカフェに持ち込みそこで長居をする光景です。
カフェで無線LANが使えるのが当たり前になりつつあります。少なくともTKMはスタバで長居はしたいと思いませんね。

威新大厦ですね。うちの職場があるところです。3日通ったっきり3週間ずっと研修センターに行ってるのでそこにはその後全然行ってないですが。。スタバができるっすか。うれしいですね。有乐和食もありましたし私的には満足かも。以前は国貿のほうだったんで何でも有りましたが（嘘；マックだけなかった）五道口も結構いろいろあって安心しました。
二階の干锅居のとなりの尚村がなかなかイケますよ。
一見高級そうに見えますが、そこまで高くないし、なかなか日本人の口に合います。
日本からのお客さんが来たら、今度からはそこへ連れて行こうと思っています。
昨日の夜、食べに行ったら、ピアノとバイオリンの生演奏していました。ちょっとセレブな気分。
